The Center for Child Protection and Family Support (Center) of Washington, DC, is a 501(c) 3 non-profit social services organization that is recognized as a leader in the field of child maltreatment, domestic violence prevention, early childhood education, and family support. The Center was founded in 1987 by two child advocates, Joyce N. Thomas, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Carl M. Rogers, a Research Psychologist.
